<p>The questions are presented as an editable PowerPoint presentation and as worksheets to improve pupils speed and accuracy with arithmetic questions.</p>

<p>This daily practice resource is designed to enhance speed and accuracy in maths, offering a broad range of questions that align with the KS1 maths curriculum.</p>

<p>With 90 questions spread across the 6 weeks, the resource incorporates a mix of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. The questions progressively build in complexity, ensuring pupils grasp fundamental concepts before advancing.</p>

<p>Encourage pupils to choose whether to use a mental or written method when answering. Answers identify which would be the most efficient method for each question.</p>

<p>We recommend teachers integrate this resource into their daily maths lessons, or as a warm up in the afternoon. With 5 to 10 minutes a day you’ll then have a structured approach to arithmetic practice.</p>

  <li>Week 25: Recaps addition and subtraction of two 2-digit numbers, multiplication and division by 2 and 5, halving, and finding one quarter of a number.</li>
  <li>Week 26: Introduces the fraction half (½) in written form, alongside revisiting addition and subtraction of two 2-digit numbers and adding three 1-digit numbers.</li>
  <li>Week 27: Introduces one quarter (¼) as a fraction in written notation, and also covers addition and subtraction of two 2-digit numbers, adding three 1-digit numbers, multiplying by 2, and dividing by 10.</li>
  <li>Week 28: Introduces one third (⅓) in Fluent in Five, along with covering addition and subtraction of two 2-digit numbers, multiplying by 10, and finding half of a number.</li>
  <li>Week 29: Introduces three quarters (¾), and revisits addition and subtraction of two 2-digit numbers, multiplying by 5, and finding one third of a number.</li>
  <li>Week 30: Recaps the full range of Year 2 questions in Fluent in Five, including adding and subtracting two 2-digit numbers, multiplying by 5, dividing by 2, 5, and 10, and finding fractions of numbers.</li>
