<p>Develop your pupils’ confidence in problem solving and reasoning with daily Rapid Reasoning questions for weeks 13 to 18 of Year 3.</p>
<p>With 90 questions spread across the 6 weeks you have 3 questions a day to show in an editable PowerPoint presentation. They follow a clear progression in terms of both content domain and cognitive demand and will introduce pupils to a wide variety of reasoning and problem solving question types.</p>
<p>This daily practice resource is designed to help overcome pupils’ barriers to reasoning and problem solving in KS2 and to develop confidence in tackling the varied and complex questions that they may encounter in KS2.</p>
<p>Like all Third Space Learning resources, Rapid Reasoning follows a maths mastery approach. Pupils are encouraged to develop depth in a single topic over the course of a week to allow them to build up their knowledge gradually.</p>
<p>Rapid Reasoning was created as a partner resource to the very popular Fluent in Five. Regular daily practice of 10 to 20 minutes, when possible, will help you to achieve the best results.</p>
<p>The resource also includes support in teaching problem solving and reasoning as well as worked examples to help scaffold and develop pupils’ skills.</p>

<h3>Topic breakdown per week</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Week 13: Focuses on understanding multiples of 10, exploring related calculations, reasoning about multiplication, and multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number, with and without regrouping.</li>
  <li>Week 14: Continues with multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number with regrouping, understanding the link between multiplication and division, and dividing a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number, with and without using flexible partitioning.</li>
  <li>Week 15: Deals with dividing a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number with remainders, understanding multiplication as scaling, and exploring different combinations from two groups of objects.</li>
  <li>Week 16: Involves measuring in metres, centimetres, and millimetres, comparing these units, and recognising equivalent lengths in metres and centimetres.</li>
  <li>Week 17: Continues recognising equivalent lengths in centimetres and millimetres, comparing lengths, and includes adding and subtracting lengths.</li>
  <li>Week 18: Focuses on understanding the concept of perimeter, measuring perimeter, and calculating perimeter.</li>
